SPOONY SHAD

The "Spoony Shad" is a magnificent paddle lure available in three sizes: 21, 32 and 57 grams. This lure offers particularly interesting animation and is finished to a high standard with attractive colours. The golden willow leaf spoon blade on the tail makes this lure effective in all water conditions.

The ""Spoony Shad"" moves at a speed of around 1 metre every 1.7 seconds. It is fitted with a tough, tonic rubber specially designed to catch pike. The steel rigging includes a spoon blade and is fitted with a quality rolling swivel. If you're fishing in grassy areas, we recommend removing the treble hook to avoid snagging.

This lure has an excellent casting distance, offering a stable trajectory even in windy conditions. The recommended action is a cranking retrieve with the rod raised in shallow water. The spoon blade makes up 90% of the appeal of the Spoony Shad, and even a subtle vibration from the back of the soft lure is noticeable.

The realistic approach of the Spoony Shad is emphasised, and even when the lure is allowed to fall on its own, its slowed descent thanks to the spoon paddle evokes the image of a roach probing towards the bottom. By keeping the banner semi taut during the descent, the lure adopts a 45° position with the head downwards, while continuing the movement of the willow leaf paddle. The willow leaf paddle comes into action easily, which means the lure remains attractive even at very slow speeds.

The ""Spoony Shad"" is just as effective on a downrigger as on a linear animation, at all speeds. Particularly in ultra slow retrieves, it proves formidable for pike fishing. The spoon blade vibrates on its own during the slow descent of the lure, creating an ideal pattern for targeting big pike over weedbeds in large lakes. In addition to this, the Spoony Shad is a great option for pelagic fishing targeting large pike perch and pike.
